　　新华网华盛顿8月12日电（记者 杨晴川）美国中部密苏里州牛顿县尼欧肖镇一座教堂12日发生枪击案。一名持枪男子冲进教堂开枪，打死3人，并打伤约10人。
　　据美国有线电视新闻网报道，事发时教堂的祈祷仪式刚刚结束，凶手手持3把枪冲进教堂开火，并一度将教堂内25人至50人劫为人质，但最终向警方投降。凶手目前已被警方拘押，受伤者也被送往医院救治。尼欧肖镇政府的一位发言人说，凶手与当时在教堂内的另一个人有瓜葛，但没有透露关于凶手的其他信息。目前案情仍在调查中。

NEOSHO, Mo. (Map, News) - A gunman opened fire in a Neosho church Sunday, killing three people and wounding several others.

The call came in to police about 2 p.m. from the First Congregational Church near downtown, said Desiree Bridges, Neosho spokeswoman. An unknown number of people, but fewer than 10, were also shot and wounded, she said. The shooting took place in the church sanctuary, she said.

The shooter, a man, was being held at the Newton County Jail, but police were not releasing any information about him. Bridges, however, said the suspect was related to someone in the church, but she would not elaborate.

Bridges said the shooter had three firearms on him, but wouldn't say what type. The shooting followed the 1 p.m. service.

The shooter then held about 25 to 50 people hostage. Negotiations lasted about 10 minutes, while police were in the church basement, Bridges said.
